Leadership Strategies Master Class

Objectives:

  • Improve ability to develop and implement long range strategic plans

  • Strengthen general management skills with focus on engagement, motivation and communication strategies

  • Develop skills in key interpersonal competencies required of effective leaders

  • Build new paradigms for change, involvement and leadership

  • Promote development of cross-business, corporate-wide business perspective

Content:

  • Fast-paced, strategic business analysis

  • Briefings on strategy and business outcomes

  • Team self-assessments, offering the opportunity to practice improving the performance of management teams

  • 360-degree feedback and self coaching

  • Class discussions and projects

  • Intersession assignment/real world problem

Module One:

Team self-assessments and individual assessments, using the TetraMap instrument, are interspersed with planning and implementation sessions. Teams are assigned a current business issue to investigate and research a long range strategic plan; creation of viable strategies and consistent implementation become critical to the success of outcome. Module One also includes sessions on business ethics, and the changing specific leadership styles.

Module Two:


Group presentation of long terms plans, review and discuss the issues with each team. Using structured feedback with the TetraMap system, participants prepare and discuss revised development plans and communication strategies to build on the business identified strengths and address perceived development needs.

 

Outcome:

Leadership Strategies Master Class emphasises the importance of strategic leadership and personal leadership. The program offers a solid, behaviour-based feedback process with developmental guidance linking the feedback with effective engaging leadership behaviours. The sessions incorporate experiential learning, group presentations and feedback sessions, and real business intersession assignments.
